I am, unfortunately, known for losing stuff. Expensive stuff. Since I’ve been married to Carolyn I have lost 2 SLR cameras and 2 video cameras. I also sometimes leave things behind at home when we go places, such as the time I forgot the telephoto lens when we went on our Bohol and Banaue trip, or sometimes forgetting the cell phone. So I have been really working to prevent that from happening. If we’ve been seated, like at a restaurant or on a bus, I always check to be sure I haven’t left anything behind. I even made a list before leaving for Davao this time. So it is extremely frustrating to report that I left my iPod Touch at the Manila Airport. I sat down to lunch and had it out to check on WiFi service and to surf the web while eating. I must have left it when I got up, even though I was extra sure to pick up the camera bag and I looked back to make sure I didn’t leave anything. I guess it was too small to notice…
I am sad. Not just because it was an expensive item. Mostly because I work so hard to not do these “absent-minded professor” things, and yet it seems I can’t avoid them.
Argh!
Update: I now think that I actually did pick it up. After i got up from the table I went over to the computer station to work on my laptop, and I'm pretty sure I put the iPod down on the counter next to me. I think someone swiped it as they walked by.
